The 2008 Land Rover LR2 has come a long way, and you can see immediately that many positive changes have been made since the last few years. The improvements may be great, but that doesn’t mean it has yet caught up to other vehicles in its class, where it is still lagging very much behind. Against other cars currently being released onto the market, the 2008 Land Rover LR2 lacks in the areas of performance and handling, and its cabin doesn’t look as great as those of its rivals either.
The 2008 Land Rover LR2 is an all new release for this model year. It comes in the place of the former Land Rover Freelander, and its abilities in contrast to its predecessor include increased ability to perform on the road and off of it as well. The performance isn’t excellent on this new option, but it is competent.
Some of the positive qualities of the LR2 can be overlooked, but you should take them into mind when decided whether to buy it or not. They are:
- new technological advances make this SUV a demon when it comes to driving on all kinds of surfaces
- drives comfortably
- lots of space, both for driver and especially for passengers
Still, there is plenty that went wrong in the design of the Land Rover LR2, and here are some of those things:
- compared to other luxury SUVs, it lacks in the compartment of acceleration, being only decent
- moderate handling on paved road
- poor materials on the interior
- more room for passengers, but less for cargo
