It took it a little while to get up there, but with the release of the brand new 2007 Lexus LS 460, Lexus has finally made it up to where it belongs, side by side with all of the other luxury vehicles released from the European market. There are few worries about its quality left in the minds of Lexus makers, and with good reason. The Lexus LS 460 has come a long way to be so good, and it deserves what it gets. This is especially true if you opt for the trim level that comes with a long wheel base.
As mentioned, the 2007 Lexus LS 460 is brand new to the market, coming to take the place of the LS 430, which was of similar size but there the similarities end. The LS 460 has much more power and class, and also adds quite a few more features than the LS 430 ever thought about. Then there is the trim level with the long wheel base and a hybrid trim level, the LS 600h L, coming out in the 2008 model year, which make this a car to die for.
Here are some of the best things about the 2007 Lexus LS 460:
- silent ride
- competently made cabin
- beautiful interior
- well chosen materials
- roaring V8 engine with power
- fantastic eight speed transmission
There are some things that could be improved for the next model year, though, including:
- the base suspension, which acts out when the driver takes too harshly to roads with curves and hard turns
