The 2007 Cadillac CTS is a car that you have to think about before deciding whether it’s quality or not and near the top of its class. After some contemplation, you realize that it isn’t up there with its competitors, or in any case, it isn’t quite as fun to drive as they are and isn’t near as finished like its main rivals have been. It has a certain quality that leave it undone. Still, it’s a fast responder and performs well and with power, making room in its cabin for plenty of people. In the category of sport sedan, it is a valid choice.
This mid sized sports sedan handles well on its own and competently. It has a powerful performance ability and nothing near a weak one with its strong 3.6 liter V6 engine. In comparison to its competitors in the same price range, its interior is much more spacious, and it has a long list of both standard and optional features. The materials used to design the inside aren’t as good as other cars in its class, and it isn’t quite as versatile.
In the 2007 model year, the Cadillac CTS adds a few things, including the option for satellite radio, but only if you also add the option of the navigation system. The radio comes with traffic update, and the wheel centers on the car have the Cadillac crest unlike before.
In terms of safety, Cadillac is well bedowed, coming with all of the newest safety technology that most cars feature. These include
-
anti lock disc brakes
-
stability control system
-
full length side curtain air bags
-
traction control
-
OnStar
As for the crash test results, what isn’t there to like? The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety picked CTS as its best for 2007 and it scored well on both frontal and side impact crash tests.
